Register HERE for the 2016 Scholar-Practitioner Symposium!
The Scholar-Practitioner Symposium is a professional development initiative providing faculty, graduate students, and full-time professionals from NC State and other area universities with an opportunity to present their research to our scholarly community. Presentation topics are related to K-16 education including adult, workforce, and continuing professional education, educational leadership, education policy, and higher education. Presentations will be presented in the form of traditional research posters and Pecha Kucha-style presentations, which require presenters to capture and communicate their scholarly research in a 20 seconds-per-slide, 20-slide presentation.
Symposium presentations can fall under the following categories for this year’s Scholar-Practitioner Symposium, but proposals do not need to be bound by these categories:
- Creativity, Innovation, and Technology
- Diversity, Cross-Cultural, and Social Justice
- Administration, Policy, and Finance
2016 Sponsors:
The Symposium is graciously sponsored by NC State’s Department of Educational Leadership, Policy and Human Development in the College of Education; NC State’s Division of Academic and Student Affairs; Duke University Student Affairs; The William & Ida Friday Institute for Educational Innovation; and the National Initiative for Leadership and Institutional Effectiveness (NILIE).
